HOW TO CONTACT THE SECURITY TEAM
There are multiple ways to contact the Security team:
- Email: [email protected]
- Call:
- Extension – 290
- Direct Line: 727-497-2290
- ALWAYS call 911 for any case of emergency!
WHAT DOES THE SECURITY TEAM DO?
The Security team is here on the GRID for the safety and protection of our #PDIFamily. They are not here to protect the property, they are here to protect the people, and their goal is to make everyone feel safe and secure! They are our campus eyes and ears, and are trained to handle rare emergency situations. You will definitely see them walking around the campus, so be sure to say hi!
WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR
The Security Team should know about any situation that you feel seems suspicious. In other words, if a situation doesn’t feel right to you, let the team know right away. NEVER be afraid to call them, they are here for you!
Please note: If you feel like you are in a dangerous or life-threatening situation, call 911 immediately.
BADGES & DOOR ACCESS
Employee Badges
- Employees should ALWAYS be wearing their badge on campus, and make sure it is visible at all times. Badges should either be pinned somewhere above the waist, or worn on a lanyard around the neck.
- If you forget your badge for the day, don’t worry, we’re all human! But, you must check in at the CORE front desk and pick up a temporary badge. Make sure to return the badge before you leave.
- If you lose your badge, immediately notify Security or Logistics so they can deactivate it. Logistics will print you a new badge.
Visitor Badges
- All visitors MUST check in at the CORE front desk when they arrive on campus, and they will receive a temporary badge. They must wear it the entire time they are on the GRID.
- Visitors must always be escorted by a PDI employee.
Door Access
- The only door that is unlocked during normal business hours is the entrance door to CORE. All other doors are accessible by badge only.
- Never let anyone into buildings who is not wearing a badge. If you see someone trying to get into the building without a badge, point them to the CORE front entrance to check-in, or to get a temporary badge, even if you think they might be a current employee. This is for the safety and protection of our team.
EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
The system is in place for serious emergencies and will send alerts to employees through:
- Call and text messages to mobile phone
- Email to PDI Inbox
- Screen and audio to Cisco desk phones
- Desktop notifier
Types of emergencies you may see alerts for include: severe weather, building evacuations, campus threats, etc.
