Returning to the GRID

Returning to the GRID

We’re looking forward to seeing some familiar faces on the GRID soon! Here’s how we’re prepping the office for your return, as well as precautions we’re asking all team members who do return to the GRID to take.

WHAT WE’RE DOING

We have taken several steps to prepare the GRID to welcome back a portion of our #PDIFamily safely starting May 4. These include:

CLEANING AND SANITIZING

  • Continued cleaning and disinfecting of the GRID. High-touch areas such as door handles, bathroom counters, stair railings, etc. will be cleaned three times daily.
  • Installed air purification systems on every AC unit, in each of our buildings.
  • Provided hand sanitizer at each reception desk.

SEATING

  • Measured distance between all desks to ensure six foot spacing, and adjusted seating arrangements as needed to promote social distancing. If you have concerns about your seating, please contact Trish Peare.
  • Added more seating in the Plaza and other campus common areas like building cafes. Additionally, increased distance between tables.

MEETINGS

  • Encouraging continued use of Microsoft Teams for meetings, as well as holding meetings outdoors to promote social distancing.
  • Implemented new maximum occupancies for each conference room, and updated conference room names in Outlook to show occupancy counts.

SURGE CAFÉ

  • Requiring SURGE crew to wear face coverings and gloves while preparing and cooking meals.
  • SURGE crew washing their hands between every glove change.
  • Temperature checking all SURGE crew daily before they enter the Café.
  • Frequently cleaning SURGE Café counters and tables.
  • Sanitizing external food and ingredient deliveries.

FACE COVERINGS

  • Requiring use of face coverings for teams with high employee interaction, including the SURGE, Property Management, and Logistics teams.
  • Welcoming the use of face coverings by all other employees, if preferred. We will have individually wrapped face coverings available at the CORE front desk for those interested (one per person, please).

CLOSURES

  • Closed the SURGE Café for dining inside and encouraging the use of @GRID to pre-order your food or drinks.
  • Closed the Fitness Center and Sport Court, while continuing to offer virtual fitness classes via the PDI Fitness Connection Facebook group.

VISITORS AND TRAVEL

  • Limiting visitors on the GRID to only those absolutely necessary.
  • All GRID visitors will have their temperature checked by the PDI Security Team before they are permitted to visit the GRID.
  • Implemented a COVID-19 questionnaire for all visitors before they are permitted to visit the GRID.
  • Business travel is still suspended unless absolutely necessary for the project. If you believe business travel is essential, please contact the SOURCE for guidance.
  • Installing Private Property signs throughout the GRID (including by the lake) to discourage non-PDI employees from coming onto campus.

EXPECTATIONS OF YOU

To help keep our everyone on the GRID safe, we’re asking all returning employees to:

AT HOME

  • Stay home and notify the SOURCE immediately if you feel unwell.
  • Take your temperature every morning before leaving to come to the GRID. If you have a fever, please do not come to the GRID. Per the CDC, a fever is considered to be 100.4° F or greater.

IN THE OFFICE

  • Continue social distancing practices and keep at least six feet of distance between yourself and others.
  • Do not use standing desks if seated in a cube, to avoid potential spread to others seated around you.
  • Avoid personal contact with others, including handshakes.
  • Do not gather in large groups.

TECHNOLOGY

  • Keep your remote technology for the month of May, should you need to use it.
  • Use Microsoft Teams for meetings, when possible.

PERSONAL HEALTH

  • Practice CDC personal hygiene guidelines, including washing hands frequently for at least 20 seconds, or using hand sanitizer.
  • When possible, use a clean paper towel or tissue to open doors. If a towel or tissue is unavailable, wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after opening door.

QUESTIONS?

While we’re looking forward to seeing some of our team members back on the GRID on May 4, we know others have personal circumstances that may prevent them from returning just yet. If this applies to you, please click here to complete our survey.
