get social with us

People will associate you with Power Design if you identify yourself as one of our employees. So, we’ve put together a few suggestions on how to make sure PDI’s digital community reflects the standards and values we practice every day.

represent Power Design

  • You are personally responsible for the content you publish online, and your profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) should be consistent with how you wish to present yourself with colleagues and customers.

  • Respect your audience. We’re pretty laid back around here and won’t silence anyone’s opinion, but we have zero tolerance for any type of discrimination. Ethnic slurs, personal insults, and obscenity are not tolerated in the workplace, and we expect the same respectful conduct from you on the internet.
  • Think before you post. Imagine sitting in a meeting with a customer and they point out a social post where you say one of our services or products “completely suck”. Talk about embarrassing. Using your voice to trash or embarrass your employer, your customers, your co-workers or even our competition is not okay – and risky.
  • Don’t engage with the trolls. Troll comments happen and sometimes they’re targeted at or about Power Design, or one of our employees. If you come across disrespectful content in any way related to Power Design, please do not engage. Just let our Digital Marketing team know ASAP.
keep risky info on the DL

  • Distributing or publishing private company information puts us at risk. Many of us are in positions where we handle sensitive financial and corporate information and common sense should tell you that confidential information is just that, confidential. So taking photos of sensitive info like the Dashboard and sharing it with your group chat oustide of PDI? Not cool.
  • We hope a crisis never happens. But if it does, please don’t break the news on social media. If you feel you are in danger while on Power Design property, call 911 and alert the security team immediately. That’s not the time to update your friends on Facebook.
  create connections

  • Following @PowerDesignInc on social media is one of the best ways to keep up with everything PDI.
  • Re-share company stories, news and events with your friends and family!
  • Our employees are our best advocates. Just because we have “guidelines” now, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t engage with us or share what the #PDILife looks like to you!
  • These are some of our favorite hashtags, and we encourage you to use them as well so that we can find your stories:
    • #PDILife
    • #PDIFamily
    • #CareersBuiltHere
  • But with all the snapping and tweeting and posting, don’t forget to actually do your job
