What is the PTO policy?
Power Design has established a PTO policy to meet employees’ personal needs and contains provisions for vacation, sick time, and holidays.

  • When possible, requests for time off of 4 or less days should be made 2 weeks or more in advance, and requests for time off of 5 or more days should be made 45 days or more in advance
  • All paid time off must be used in the anniversary year in which it was accrued, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing
  • An employee may borrow up to five (5) days of their PTO bank
  • Must be in good performance standing
  • PTO must not negatively affect business needs
  • Immediate manager must approve request

What is the office closing/holiday schedule for 2020?

Power Design recognizes seven (7) holidays:

New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day

  • Other (substitute) holidays may be recognized by jobsites and/or the office based on job needs and considerations.
  • When working on projects, all employees must follow the project’s schedule.
  • In addition to standard holidays, the company may elect to close the office for additional days throughout the year.

When entering your time into Workday during weeks with holidays, only enter your time for days worked. Leave company paid holidays blank. The holiday hours will automatically be included for all eligible employees when work hours are submitted.
