Egnyte

Egnyte is a mobile file management and sharing application. Egnyte allows you to easily view, share, or edit project files via your desktop, cloud (OKTA) and mobile app. Easily share files with team members both in the office and field anywhere, anytime.

 

Egnyte has proven to be a powerful collaboration tool and heavily relied on at PDI. Since it’s implementation Egnyte has helped Power Design to create and maintain a company-wide consistency- uniting the work done at the corporate office with field teams. Egnyte allows for your project files to be available in a centralized location whenever and wherever you need. Egnyte has provided an overall better collaboration experience for your PM Teams as well as a secure way to protect and share your files.

 

PDI has developed a standard folder structure for all PM Department files to be saved within the S: Drive (S:/02.Awarded/ProjectName). This is where all of the most up to date project information and documents should be stored.

No project data is to be saved to your desktop!

 

Folder access:

For the 02. Awarded folder:

Office user permissions are based on being assigned to the project in Oracle. If you’re not on the correct project you’ll need to contact the PM.

TIP: If user is listed as a Team Members, they’ll only have “read only” access to folders. They need to be listed as an active role.

Field user permissions are based on their project assignment within FRM (Field Resource Management).

Once team member positions are updated in either Oracle or FRM, Egnyte will queue an auto-refresh so everyone added or removed will have appropriate access to folders without any additional manual steps.

 

 

For all other folders:

Access to other folders is granted based on your job title and what department you’re part of. If you need additional access or feel you have incorrect access please contact your manager.
